Jeff Butler (1939–2017): A pivotal figure in the late 1980s and early 1990s, Jeff Butler guided Kaizer Chiefs to multiple trophies, including the league title in 1991 and 1992. His tenure was marked by a dynamic playing style and significant success. Butler’s passing in April 2017 was a significant loss to the football community.
Alexandre Magnus Bezerra Revoredo (1970–2017): Known as Coach Alex, the Brazilian goalkeeper coach joined Kaizer Chiefs in June 2016. His sudden death in August 2017, following a brief illness, left the club and supporters in mourning.
Stanley “Screamer” Tshabalala (1949–2024): A legendary figure in South African football, Tshabalala was the first coach of the South Africa national team after readmission to FIFA. He also served as the technical director of Kaizer Chiefs from 1996 to 2001. His passing in July 2024 was a significant loss to the football community.
Ted Dumitru (1948–2023): A Romanian-born coach, Dumitru had multiple stints with Kaizer Chiefs, notably leading the team to back-to-back league titles in 2004 and 2005.
