Netflix has announced the upcoming release of a highly anticipated documentary about the iconic rock band Guns N’ Roses, set to debut in March 2025. The film, titled Paradise City: The Story of Guns N’ Roses, will offer an in-depth look at the band’s rise to fame, tumultuous career, and lasting influence on rock music. Fans can expect rare archival footage, personal interviews with the band members, and commentary from key figures in the music industry.

The documentary promises to delve into the complex dynamics of the group, particularly the relationship between frontman Axl Rose and lead guitarist Slash, whose artistic collaborations and public feuds became legendary. Viewers will also get a glimpse into the making of Appetite for Destruction, the band’s groundbreaking 1987 debut album, as well as the chaos and creativity surrounding the release of Use Your Illusion I & II. The film will trace the band’s impact on the global rock scene and their resurgence with reunion tours in recent years.

Directed by award-winning filmmaker Laura Daniels, the project has been in development for over two years, with unprecedented access to the band’s inner circle. Netflix’s head of original documentaries, Emily Fisher, noted that Paradise City will appeal not only to long-time Guns N’ Roses fans but also to new audiences who want to understand the cultural phenomenon behind one of rock’s greatest bands.
